Material Selection

Choosing the right material is the foundation of bag prototyping, influencing the appearance, quality, texture, and feel of each bag style. At Chiterion, we prioritize delivering high-quality and promotional products, offering a diverse range of colors and textures, including options like vegan leather, recycled leather, genuine leather, metallic leather, suede, special materials, exotic skin, and various fabrics. Customized materials, such as those with printed artwork, are also welcome, and our staff meticulously inspects each material to ensure its quality before production.

Hardware Selection and Creation

Hardware plays a pivotal role in a handbag, serving both functional and decorative purposes. Eye-catching hardware can define the essence of a bag, enhancing its appearance and attracting more customers. Shapes and sizes can vary, ranging from round and square to special shapes, and materials include metal, resin, wood, and plastic. Chiterion is open to custom hardware, with many customers opting for personalized elements such as metal brand logos. Detailed hardware specifications, including overall shape and dimensions, are required. We create 3D drawings for approval before proceeding to craft the hardware mold.

2D Pattern Making

Pattern making involves creating a bag body "project" from the outer lining and various parts of the bag's interior. Skilled pattern makers hand-sketch design lines on paper based on technical specifications, converting them into essential 2D shapes, known as open plates, that guide the bag-making process.

After the prototype is crafted, a sample will be produced for style and structure inspection. This prototype sample adheres to the correct material quality and color specifications, providing a comprehensive test before moving on to mass production.
